The Adorables

Adorable: inspiring great affection; delightful; charming

I have close friends that meet me for coffee in the mornings on my porch. This has been a regular occurrence, so we decided we needed to name our group; thereby deeming ourselves the ‘Adorables’.

Why the Adorables, you ask? Well simply because we are. We inspire great affection. We are delightful and charming. We are witty and inspire laughter and joy in each other. We are in essence, adorable.

Some people think that it is not okay to deem oneself or another adorable (unless they are a baby or child). Maybe that’s because they don’t feel worthy of being deemed adorable themselves. Maybe those unwilling to acknowledge the claim of another’s adorableness are just wanting to squash the self esteem of those who find themselves such. But for what ever reason, I have never really cared. I’m adorable, and I own it!

And tomorrow morning, my adorable friends will have coffee on my adorable swing, in our adorable neighborhood, with adorable me.💁🏻‍♀️
