Expect the Unexpected

Plot twist: an unexpected development

I am an avid watcher of the TV show Big Brother. I’ve always loved it. A key element to the show is ‘expect the unexpected’. A plot twist is sure to happen, something to drastically change up the game.

Life is full of plot twists. Things are bound to happen that drastically change the course of the game of life. Some may be small changes that make life better, yet some are larger and harder to deal with and adjust to.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could train yourself to expect the unexpected?

Like playing in a scrimmage, you train yourself to learn to play in a game that doesn’t really count, yet has prepared you for what is ahead. It would most assuredly be a great life skill to possess.

I’m not sure it’s possible though, because the truth of life is often more difficult to deal with than things we imagined.

I am a dreamer and have a tendency to lean towards the positive. I’m always trying to see and find the best in every situation, and every human. I wait in hope and give more than is normal, always looking forward to the positive plot twist that may occur.

Perhaps today… Today may possibly be the day that I am unexpectedly surprised. Today may possibly be the day that alters the course of my life for the better. Today may possibly be the day… But if it isn’t, there is always tomorrow. And the dreamer in me likes having things to look forward to.
