Every little girl growing up wants to be a princess, meet her prince and live happily ever after. The dream doesn’t age just because we grow older. Even grown women long to find a king who treats her like a queen and will sweep her off her feet and carry her away to their castle. It’s real. We are wired to want the fairytale.
When did being a woman who only wants to feel loved become so… wrong? When did being soft become viewed as weakness? Why is it that women now have to carry a shield, wield a sword and fight for love? Where did all the knights in shining armor go?
Oh right! They settled down in front of the TV to watch the big game. My bad fellas. Did my touch of your hand get in the way of you grabbing for that Dorito? Did my kiss on your cheek frustrate you because you missed that catch that will be replayed at least two more times momentarily? Did my words of love cause you anger because you couldn’t hear the commentator and had to press rewind on the Tivo?
A quote I have always related to: Treat her like a queen and she will treat you like a king; treat her like a game and she will show you how it’s played.
It’s gametime.
